We all have many faults but we also have our values. Values such as love, honesty , compassion, gratitude drive many of our actions. We have been thought those since the childhood. Although values in the society have changed dramatically it is important to find consensus with your loved ones. The best thing to do is to discuss your values with the potential partner at the outset of your relationship.
Some of us get blinded by love and it is natural and highly romantic.
However, if you are thinking about monogamous relationship but your partner believes that one night stand means , you two do not stand a good chance. Infidelity is an important issue on its own as many of us find it the most difficult to forgive and leads to most divorces. However, can be seemingly less important things that you should know about each other. For example, you are more outgoing that your future partner. It may not interfere initially but it may cause jealousy issues. Also should know your future partner is family orientated or not.
One thing of the most importance is finances – not very romantic but second thing to cause most conflicts. It does mean that you have to ask about their earning on a first day. The important thing here is to figure whether you would be able to put up with your partner earning less or more than you. Another not less important factor that gets often overlooked is personal hygiene. It can be extremely off putting especially with time after the most romantic stages fades out. So be warned.
Values is a big part of compatibility and rightly so. Do not turn your back to them, do not push your boundaries of tolerance just to please your loved one –you won’t be able to persevere in a long run. Having said that, if you were having the same issues in a few relationships it can possibly mean that you would benefit from some personality changes. No one is perfect after all.
